Quite gruff and doesn't enjoy others company often. He'd usually prefer to be alone and working. His mind needs something to occupy it or he'll get bored and do things that aren't quite good. (Could be drinking or bad stuff like that) Though sometimes people can catch him unawares and break through his gruff exterior to someone more kind on the inside.

Not rich, but not completely poor either. He doesn't have the most money in the world but most years he can have a roof over his head and food on the table. Of course there are years where that might not happen though.

Blacksmithing has been in the family for generations, so Alexander wasn't from a family that was too poor. He grew up with a decent amount of money, and learned Blacksmithing techniques from a young age. When he was finally old enough he moved to this town where he could become his own man. The only thing keeping him from opening his own blacksmith shop is that factories are on the rise.
